Dr. Danielle Bellefleur
Originally from New Denmark, a small Danish community in western New Brunswick, Dr. Danielle Bellefleur has always known she wanted to be a veterinarian. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of New Brunswick in 2018 before earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with honours from the Atlantic Veterinary College in 2023.
Danielle began her career at a 24-hour emergency hospital in Saint John, where she gained extensive experience in emergency and critical care, particularly in surgery and internal medicine. After two years in emergency medicine and six months as a locum veterinarian at Fairvale Animal Hospital, she decided to transition into general practice to build lasting relationships with clients and their pets.
Her professional interests include surgery, pain management, and client education. Danielle is passionate about helping pets live happy, comfortable lives and values the trust families place in her to care for their beloved companions.
Outside of the clinic, Danielle enjoys spending time outdoors with her partner and their two black Labradors, Billie and Nelly. She also loves baking, trail running, and tending to her flower garden.
